The first step will be to shave the area on your body that is being harvested for follicles. This provides your doctor with a clearer view of the healthy follicles. Before the harvesting begins, you will receive a local anesthetic. The surgeon will then implant each follicle into your facial skin, shaping your new beard exactly how you want it to look.
After the procedure, tiny crusts will probably form around each implanted follicle, and they should flake off within a few days. It is usual for new beard hairs to fall out after 2 to 3 weeks, but new hairs should soon start growing to take their place.
